Choose a football shirt size using the chart for the exact product and version you want. Check whether the chart measures the shirt or the wearer, then compare like-for-like measurements. This guide explains the method; the product's own size chart supplies the measurements.
Start with the right size chart
Open the product's Size Guide before selecting a size. Check the units, measuring diagram and selected version. A letter such as M or a children's size number is not enough to compare two different shirts.
Shirt measurements or body measurements?
- Garment measurements: measure a shirt that already fits comfortably, following the same points shown in the product chart.
- Body measurements: measure the wearer as directed by the chart. Do not substitute the width of a shirt for a body circumference.
- Unclear chart: ask which method and units the chart uses before ordering.
How to measure a football shirt laid flat
- Place a shirt that fits well on a flat surface. Smooth out folds without stretching the fabric.
- If the chart shows pit-to-pit width, measure straight across between the underarm points. Record this as a flat width, not a chest circumference.
- For length, use the start and end points in the product diagram. A measurement from the shoulder is not interchangeable with one from the collar.
- Compare every measurement supplied in the chart, including width and length. Matching only one dimension may give a different fit from the shirt you measured.
Centimetres and inches
One inch equals 2.54 centimetres. Multiply inches by 2.54 to get centimetres; divide centimetres by 2.54 to get inches. For example, a flat shirt width of 20 inches is 50.8 cm. This is a unit-conversion example, not a THJORE size recommendation.
Choosing a children's football shirt
Use the chart for the specific kids' shirt. Do not treat a size number as the child's age or substitute an adult chart. If the chart uses body measurements, measure the child; if it uses garment measurements, compare a shirt that fits them well. Check the description for which pieces are included when buying a kit.
What if I am between sizes?
Compare the listed dimensions with the fit you prefer and a shirt you already wear. Do not automatically size up or down based only on a version name. If two sizes appear suitable or the chart is incomplete, contact us with the product link, selected version, measurements and units before ordering.
Before adding a name or number
Choose the size first, then review the available personalisation options, spelling, capital letters and number. Personalised products cannot be returned or exchanged. Once our shipping department starts processing your order, we cannot change the size, personalisation or delivery address. Read the Return policy before ordering and ask about your particular item if anything is unclear.
